Greg Douglass; Guitarist for the Stars!

My holiday CD has sold thousands of copies over the years and has become a personal favorite of many people as well. I've been spending a big chunk of my time arranging new ways to interpret those classic tunes and it's become a tradition for me to celebrate my favorite holiday by sharing that hard work with the public. There'll be the usual expected offerings plus a stuffed stocking full of surprises. I'll be spinning my Ghosts of Christmas Past yarns as well so expect to be educated and, hopefully, entertained. We were treated to a masterful and hugely entertaining set by legendary American West Coast guitarist Greg Douglass, some of the highlights being covers of Leo Kottke and John Fahey, a gorgeous version of Jefferson Airplane's 'Embryonic Journey', inventive instrumental interpretations of 'Day Tripper' and 'Norwegian Wood' and some atmospheric original instrumentals including 'Ocean Hill, 'Fog and Fire' and 'Breather'. This was the final date of Greg's tour but I'm sure he'll be back - if you missed him this time round, I'd urge you not to make the same mistake again."
